It’s a smarter way to start your education and set yourself up for long-term success without compromising on quality.

Students in the Engineering Academy program enroll in mathematics, science, and core curriculum courses through Alamo Colleges District and have the unique opportunity to enroll in Texas A&M engineering courses taught by Texas A&M faculty at Northeast Lakeview College in the Alamo Colleges District. By taking up to four semesters of your Texas A&M engineering degree at the Alamo Colleges District before transitioning to Texas A&M to finish your program, you can save up to $50,000 in tuition and other costs.

How It Works

Step 1: Apply

The first step is to submit an application to Alamo Colleges District along with a prequalification form. Prequalified students will be sent a link to a special Texas A&M Engineering Academy application.

Step 2: Enroll

Once you’re admitted to the program, you’ll be advised on how to register for courses at Alamo Colleges District. You’re a Texas A&M College of Engineering student from day one of your co-enrollment.

Step 3: Transition

After a minimum of one year or a maximum of two years co-enrolled at Alamo Colleges District, you’ll transition to Texas A&M University in College Station to complete your degree in the engineering major of your choice.
